Gabriel González Royds is a 2024 2B/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from North York, ON who attends St. Michaels College. Medium frame with some present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.92 60-yard dash. Listed as a primary second baseman, only took reps in the outfield in this look; sound on the approach and fields the ball off to side, extra step into release with a longer arm action and three-quarters slot, shows accuracy on throws with some effort out of the hand, fundamentally sound. Left-handed hitter, begins with an even base and a tighter hand set, utilizes a short stride moving into contact. Clean and balanced swing path through the zone, nice length to swing and shows intriguing power upside. Best contact to the middle of the field and shows lift in path, creates hand speed through the zone. Excellent student.
