Alex Shaw is a 2027 2B/RHP, SS, OF, UT with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Ovilla, TX who attends Midlothian Heritage. Slender, medium build with good projection left. Ran a 7.40 in the sixty. Showed well in outfield and infield drills. Real confident charges and footwork with carry to the bag. Gathers well and good composure. Solid lateral range on the dirt plays well on the backhand. Solid accuracy to the bag too. Right-handed pitcher, stretch only with some drop-and-drive to the delivery. Healthy shape and spin fo his breaking ball, can turn over a changeup really well. Athletic with feel for three pitches. Good feel to spin. Right-handed hitter, even base and toe tap load. Uses lower half well and stays in-sync, good feel to all fields. Gets on plane and lets the barrel work out front with more more strength in store. Named to Top Prospect list.
