Colin Steffens is a 2027 1B/RHP, OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Oakland, MI who attends Rochester Adams. Taller slender frame. Ran a 7.80 60-yard dash. Versatile defender. Developing footwork to and fielding the baseball in the outfield, squares to the baseball fielding with two hands. Caught the baseball cleanly and showed average arm strength. Showed fundamental footwork at first base breaking down the baseball and getting the glove out front, under control side arm action, moves well around the bag with the ability to make all the plays at first base. Hit from an even base with a high hand set at the plate, got to a consistent fundamental hitting position, level bat path through the zone with developing bat speed and an all fields approach. Fundamentally sound mechanics at the plate. Up to 77 with the fastball on the mound with a slider that showed sweeping action from a three quarter slot. Some fluidity in the delivery with above average arm speed for the age.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
