Jefferson Speakes is a 2028 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-2 172 lb. frame from Clifton, VA who attends Flint Hill. Recorded a 8.55 second sixty yard dash time. Length to the frame with a lean build. Primary first baseman that fields with two hands out front. Low angle on the throws with some carry. Also threw an inning on the mound. The left-handed pitcher works from a waist-level leg lift with a shorter stride down the mound. Medium length arm action with a hitch in the back. Three- quarter arm slot with low effort release. Nice tempo on the mound. The fastball (2110 RPM) was 75-77. Also threw a sweeping slider (1786 RPM) with big action and lateral movement. Smooth operation and creates good angle. Left-handed hitter starts from a medium base with open feet and a high back elbow, utilizes a small stride. Inside path with a long swing. Working to lift the ball with developing strength. Intriguing player with upside.
