Matt Ritchie is a 2027 RHP/UT with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from South Elgin, IL who attends St. Charles North. Long and lean pitcher's build with some strength in his lower half to build on. Short side step delivery with a belt high leg raise, works inline down the slope with slightly closed landing. Three-pitch mix with fastball in the high-80s. Slider in low-80s with low-spin changeup in mid-70s. Present upside with projectable frame and feel for the strike zone. Secondary infielder with full arm stroke on throws across the diamond. Corner actions and footwork. Right-handed hitter with a big knee-lift trigger. Lift to the swing with deep hand load to launch. Strength out front with length through the zone. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
