Matt Werner is a 2027 RHP/OF with a 6-5 205 lb. frame from Plant City, FL who attends A3 Academy. Extra large frame with long limbs, broad shoulders, and lots of room to fill out. Tons of physical projection remaining. Primary right-handed pitcher who only pitched during the event. Threw from the stretch only with a leg lift up past the belt and a high front glove point. Lots of arm side run and sinking action to the upper 80s fastball. Good feel to locate the fastball to the arm side with consistency and frequency. Very good changeup with lots of tumbling action down in the zone and got whiffs against left-handed hitters with it. Breaking ball showed mostly 11/5 shape and he landed the pitch in the strike zone nicely. Full three pitch mix with a good amount of strikes and worked quickly to induce weak contact. Great student.
