Mason Almazan is a 2028 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Downers Grove, IL who attends Providence Catholic. Medium long build with the beginnings of some present strength. 7.12 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, chops the steps, presents the glove early out front, works thru the baseball well, developing feel to move laterally and an above average arm up to 86 across the diamond. Hit form an even base, showed a compact swing with developing bat speed, ability to get the barrel on plane and use the whole field. Showed a 3-pitch mix on the mound out of a high 3/4 slot. FB up to 81, developing spin traits to the breaking ball and some feel for a straight CH as well. Excellent student. Excellent student. Named to the PG Great Lakes HS All-State Games Top Prospect List.
