Hernan Ramos is a junior college RHP with a 6'2'', 180 lb. frame from Iowa Falls, IA who attends Ellsworth CC. He has a fairly mature loose body. Ramos throws from a simple delivery with minimum effort and some spin off the plate on release. His arm works easily and loosely. We've heard of Ramos being up to 92 mph this spring; he was 85-90 mph on his fastball at this workout. He threw about 90% fastballs and did a good job of commanding the pitch low in the strike zone with some sinking action. Ramos threw a couple of curveballs at 68 mph with soft spin and an early break and he'll have to work on this pitch in the future. We didn't see a change up.
