James Bowman is a 2028 OF/RHP/1B with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Baldwin, MD who attends Dulaney. Long and lean athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. 4.21 runner in the thirty. Primary outfielder that comes through aggressively. Sequences well with a quick release and a loose arm. Secondary first baseman with a deep funnel and came off the bag well with some idea on the footwork. Also threw an inning on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works from a full windup from the first base side of the rubber. Small step in front to a belt-high leg lift. Stationary hands at the chest breaking into a very deep and slightly off-line arm path. Accelerates through a high three- quarter arm angle. Solid mover. Fastball (2154 RPM) ran up to 81 with some life in the zone. Bigger curveball (2074 RPM) in the low-60s. Threw a slider in the upper 60s for a strike. Best present tool is his right handed bat, the right-handed hitter starts from a narrow and open start with a good handset and barrel start, utilizes a big leg raise. Has some bat speed and uses an aggressive swing. Loft to the middle-of-the-field with some hard impact. Turns hard in the core with some hard and loud contact throughout the round. Very good student. Named to the PG Coastal Indoor Top Prospect List.
