Shaan Iyer is a 2029 SS/MIF with a 5-0 100 lb. frame from Cave Creek, AZ. Features a small, wiry build. Ran a 9/06 60-yard dash. Primary infielder. Showed the ability to make the routine play. Presents glove early with an occasional glove tap into the catchpoint. Flashed the ability to move well laterally. Still develop the ability to create momentum into the catchpoint. Uses a short arm action release with developing arm strength. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an even base stance with a toe tap timing mechanism. Swings on a direct path. Approach looks to stay through the middle of the field. Adding more strength would allow for better barrel control. Excellent student.
