2025 PG Michigan Indoor Showcase
Trae Foster is a 2028 SS/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Ypsilanti, MI who attends Saline High School. A medium frame and compact build. Some athleticism in the frame with room to keep filling out the slender build. Ran a 7.07 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop who worked out at the position, moving low to the ground with some snatch to the hands. He had some bounce to the feet with a twitch to his actions and good accuracy across the diamond. Threw 80 mph across during his round and kept throws on a good flight across. He took good angles to it, and the throws came out fine, adjusting arm slots as needed. Good actions. Also worked out in the outfield with some athleticism to the actions on the approach. He had a shorter and compact arm action with throws at 82 mph during his round. He had some whip to the arm with a shuffle working into the throws, showing some arm strength. Showed a clean gather and transfer with a feel for his actions. Took BP as a right-handed hitter with a spread base, high hands, and the back elbow up. Open feet with an inward leg lift trigger and good bat speed working through it. He had deeper hands with some feel to get off the backside and stride into contact. There was some whip to the barrel with hand speed and bat speed to impact. He had some good swings working pull-side in the air. He gets some separation and is able to do damage with the barrel. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
