Lucas Walter is a 2029 SS/2B with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from Round Lake, NY who attends Shenendehowa. Medium frame with plenty of room and time to fill out. Recorded a 8.37 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary infielder with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Displayed soft hands, a clean funnel and some lateral range to either side, while exhibiting a good internal clock with a quick release. Produced accurate throws with developing arm strength up to 70 mph during drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from a wider base with tight hands, a high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics to generate bat speed and torque, while showing some feel for the barrel. Worked the middle and pull sides of the field well with line drive impact when on-time and projects for more power as he continues to physically mature. Great Student.
