2023 14U Main Event Showcase
Jaxon Coleman is a 2028 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Fairfield, IA who attends Fairfield. Longer, thin frame for the class. Ran a 7.68 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, medium length arm action, moves with athleticism in the grass, crow hop on throws, lower slot, developing accuracy but has a looser arm, projects some here. Secondary left-handed pitcher, hands set in front of the face with a belt high leg lift, lower three-quarters slot, lands closed and cuts across the body, some slight run and sink to the fastball, flashed the curveball just once that had spinner qualities, fastball thrower that was effective in the zone due to slot and angle. Left-handed hitter, hands in front of face then pulls them back in sync with trigger, high back elbow, even stance, shorter to the baseball, linear stroke with quickness to the hands, lived on the barrel all round and produced some mid 80's exit velocities during the round, very impressive look. Projects nicely in all facets especially if more size comes into the picture, could have the makings of a power corner profile in the coming years.
