Julian Rivas is a 2027 RHP/1B, 3B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Kennewick, WA who attends Kennewick High. Features a physically mature frame with flashes of strength. Ran a 8.35 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed solid defensive actions. Fielded everyball clean showing present glove skill/feel with avg. footwork. Got off throws quickly with accuracy using a shorter/wristy arm action with avg. strength. At the plate, he uses a simple toe-tap trigger that gets him engaged with his backside and lands with balance. Barrel works a tad long through the zone showing some trouble when late but when he got extended out front he had good results to the pullside producing line drives. Presently, it’s just avg. bat/hand speed for his level. On the mound, he worked exclusively from the stretch. Smaller sit in his driveleg for more tall/fall tendencies. Arm worked longer/loose in the back that hides a bit and works up to a higher ¾ slot. Fastball was up to 70 that he induced a lot of contact on and that flashed some natural cut. Flipped in a low 60s slurvy breaking ball as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
