Carlos Herrera is a 2025 C with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Port Saint Lucie, FL who attends Albany Paulies Academy. Medium frame with good muscularity and solid athletic movements overall. Ran the 60-yard dash in 7.35 seconds. Primary position catcher, working from a one-knee initial stance and presenting a good target with the glove. Firm actions in the transfer and gets the arm up with a bit of hesitation at the top before accelerating to release. Accurate throws up to 71 mph to bags with a pop-time best 2.15 seconds. Right handed hitter, starting with an upright stance and a lower handset. Short and direct path to contact and peppered a lot of hard line drives to the pull side. Compact and repeatable mechanics that will play all the way up the line with good power projection. Offensive catcher skillset and is an outstanding student as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
