Emilio Young is a 2028 SS/MIF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Newport Beach, CA who attends Mater Dei. Features a medium-sized build with some present lean athleticism. Ran a 7.18 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed fundamental actions. Avg. first step and works low to the ground. Some slow-down into reception but fields it clean and out front. Some extra shuffles and a glove tap into throws where his arm shows avg. strength but present accuracy. At SS, displayed feel for the position. Light feet get to his spots and play through the baseball with quality glovework. Similar extra shuffle and glove tap before release where he shortened up the arm action and got off accurate throws across. At the plate, he's relaxed and sits in a narrow stance. Rhythmic leg lift trigger that syncs with hands loading back creating good separation. Barrel works on a slight uphill path and showed some quality lift and drive post impact. Creates decent leverage in his lower half. Named to Top Prospects List.
