Michael Morelli is a 2008 1B/3B with a 6'0'', 215 lb. frame from Chester, NY who attends Washingtonville Central HS. He has a big and thick build with very good present strength. Morelli is an aggressive hitter with a big uppercut pull oriented swing and a early release on the bat. He has some raw bat speed and can drive his pitch a long way if he gets one in his wheelhouse. Pitchers will be able to get Morelli out by making their pitch but he can drive mistakes. Morelli is a pretty good runner underway for his size at 7.29 in the 60. He lacks lateral range at first base but has soft hands on throws.
