Pate Taylor is a 2028 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-3 100 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Monterey. Compact, wiry frame. Ran a 8.55 in the sixty. Showed well in outfield and first base drills. Quicker turns to the bag for age. Solid accuracy and charge in the grass. Made it to the bag well, developing arm strength. Good fundamental approach and gets on top of the ball well. Left-handed pitcher, medium leg lift into a higher three-quarter slot with shorter arm action through the back. Fastball and curveball mixed in and showed feel for both. Good strikes in his outing. Right-handed hitter, open stance with wider base and mini double toe tap. Gets on plane with some hand speed and intent in the path. Direct to the baseball and worked mostly up the middle in his round.
