2025 PG Sunshine West Showcase (National Showcases Qualifier)
Brody Brehm is a 2027 RHP/1B with a 6-5 205 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Rancho Bernardo. Primary RHP with long limbs and a projectable frame. Fastball worked up to 80 and hammered the zone. Athletic delivery to the plate and repeats it well working downhill and inline. Throws from a high 3/4 slot with clean arm action. Fastball showed good arm side run. Went to a slider at 67 with good shape and late bite. Both pitches were effective and project to get better. Also played first fielding it cleanly out front with a 2-hand gather. Shuffles into his throws with longer arm action and was compact through his release. Was up to 76 from there and accurate with his throws. Showed good fundamental footwork around the bag with clean pivots. Controls his overall body well. Left-handed hitter with a balanced base starting slightly open. Uses a small leg lift and stride into contact for timing and rhythm. Showed strong pull-side impact and works it well. Strong hands with bat speed and good overall bat to ball ability. Impact came to pull-side mainly but showed feel to go with it the other way when needed. Excellent Student.
