2025 PG Class of 2028 All-American Games
Dane Dial is a 2028 3B/RHP/1B with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Colorado Springs, CO who attends Pine Creek. Strong and compact build. Primary third baseman on defense, has some lateral agility and makes good turns to second base, throws from multiple arm slots and makes accurate throws, solid overall defensive actions. Right handed hitter, sets up in a narrow stance with a rhythmic toe tap/rock back load and a longer stride into contact, power swing that can get long at times, middle of the field approach with hard game contact. Also pitched, worked exclusively from the stretch with a high leg raise and big turn over the rubber, high 3/4's arm slot with some energy into release. Fastball topped out at 87 mph with some running life low. Threw both a slider and a curveball, slider was a much better pitch with some two-plane bite, tended to slow his arm significantly on a soft curveball. Good student. Named to the PG Class of 2028 All-American Games Top Prospect List.
