Rafa Salvatierra is a 2027 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Palmer Trinity. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to fill and develop moving forward. Ran a 7.36 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, one handed gather out front, deliberate tempo throughout, occasionally gets under throws on release, arm strength will continue to develop with added physicality, shows accuracy to the intended base. Hands play well at first base and picked it consistently in infield drills, plays well with footwork around the bag, high motor player with energy in actions. Also pitched, works from a stretch only operation, hands come set at belt; high leg lift at top of delivery, pitched to contact and filled the strike zone with consistent strikes. Fastball topped out at 68 mph and mixed a short breaker up to 52 mph, threw both offerings for strikes. Right-handed hitter, begins with a medium and even stance in the box; loads weight onto backside, can continue to implement additional weight shift through lower half into contact. Linear path through the zone and implements a short leg lift trigger for timing, does a nice job of staying short to the ball with hands in swing. Very good student.
