Seth Thompson is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Northfield, MN, who attends Northfield. A taller frame and thicker build with some strength throughout present. He had some physicality to the frame. Ran a 6.99 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop who worked out on the infield, throwing 85 mph across the diamond during his round of defensive reps. He had a clue for the spot with some quality footwork, moving well throughout the round. His throws were accurate around the bag, with some strength through release. He showed off some corner-ish actions during his round, looking the part with quality lateral movements. Projectable arm strength here. A left-handed hitter who swings it well. He sets up with a spread and slightly open base with higher set hands and a high back elbow. He used an inward leg lift trigger to work through the zone with an aggressive stride. He showed good hand speed while working through the swing, with plenty of feel for the barrel. Showed strength to impact and the ability to get through the zone with good strength off it. He could lift the ball as evidenced during his round of BP swings. He was looking to pull during the round and was able to get a couple of really well-struck balls out in front. Took a solid round of BP. Managed a 93 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing as well. Good student. Named to 2024 Midwest Indoor Showcase TP List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
