2025 Iowa Sticks Showcase
Landon Pearson is a 2029 3B/RHP/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Urbandale, IA who attends Waukee Northwest. Medium athletic build with good strength for his age and more to come. Right handed hitter, sets up in a narrow and slightly open stance with a simple leg raise trigger, stays on plane and on-time well, middle of the field line drive approach with some jump off the barrel, projectable hitting tools. 7.97 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, moves to the ball well, was athletic and balanced on the charge, clean funnel out front, 3/4's arm slot with some carry on his throws, will occasionally slow down his release with a double tap on his exchange. Also worked out as an outfielder and showed his arm well there as well. Took a turn on the mound, has a sound delivery that uses his lower half well, gets into his hips, good arm speed from a 3/4's arm slot, stays directional well. Fastball was in the upper-70's with plenty more there as he matures, works up and down well and throws strikes with his fastball. Tunneled a mid-60's curveball with nice spin well, flashed a developing change up. Lots of tools for his age, follow closely.
