Dante Rodriguez is a 2025 1B/RHP, OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Lodi, CA who attends Tokay. Features a taller and high-waisted build with some projection. Ran a 5.35 60-yd dash. At 1B, he fielded every GB clean with a wider base. Did take some time out the glove but showed well setting feet on his DP turns. All his throws were accurate showing avg. strength for his level while also working from different angles/slots. At the plate, he sits in an ultra wide base with his bat flat to shoulder. Uses a simple heal lift load/trigger which hurts some lower half usage/engagement and rhythm. Turns from the rear shoulder which dips at times creating an uphill path. Hands stay inside the baseball and throw the barrel with avg. bat speed for his level through the zone with a shorter high finish. Was on-barrel the majority of his round producing softer LDs to both gaps throughout his round.
