Asher Williams is a 2029 SS/RHP/C with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Saint George, UT who attends Desert Hills. Well-proportioned frame with some lower half strength, a high waist and plenty of time to physically mature. Recorded a 7.66 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary shortstop with aggressive actions into and throughout the fielding process. Showed a quick first step, fundamentally sound footwork and delivered accurate throws up to 71 mph across the diamond during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with segmented movements into balance and down the slope. Incorporates a rock back action with upper-half during move down the slope, maintained the low-70s with his fastball for the duration of his outing from a higher three-quarters arm slot. Flashed short hybrid slider with slight horizontal tilt to it, will continue to improve with mechanical refinements and additional velocity. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, upright base with tight hands, a low back elbow and quick leg lift trigger. Incorporates quick turn with lower half, which generates plenty of present bat speed. Intent based stroke with some feel for the barrel and jump to the middle and pullside of the field. Swing projects well moving forward, will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments and additional strength. Excellent Student.
