Nathanael Vasquez is a 2027 RHP/IF with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Dumont, NJ who attends Bergen Catholic. Long, lean frame with a high waist and plenty of room to fill out. Recorded an 8.03 sixty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with higher leg lift into balance and deceptive lower half movements down the slope. Fastball worked in the upper-60s for the majority of his outing, ticking up into the low-70s on occasion and topped out at 73 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot. Strike thrower with developing command, mixed in slow, big breaking curveball with gradual depth that will continue to improve with additional velocity. Secondary infielder with developing defensive skill set. Deliberate footwork, bends at the waist and showed a clean funnel. Recorded arm strength up to 74 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, slightly open stance with a toe-tap trigger and rotational lower half movements into launch. Developing bat-to-ball skills, slightly downhill swing path and best impact to the middle and pullsides of the field. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.
