Henrik Zhai is a 2027 RHP/OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Pound Ridge, NY who attends John Jay Cross River. Zhai works from a medium build with strength present throughout for age. On the mound, worked from a stretch only operation starting from the 1B side of the rubber. Belt high leg lift, compact arm path with high 3/4 release. FB up to 72 mph with running action at times. Pitched to contact effectively, will benefit from adding reliable off speed stuff in future. From the OF, again topped out at 72 mph with refining glove work. Produced accurate throws with further room to carry momentum downhill. Offensively, the righty started from an even base with leg lift trigger utilized into impact. Intent to create lift in the bat path with strength in the hands for age. Middle of the field approach with developing feel for the barrel. Posted an exit velo of 71 mph. Ran a 8.17 sixty yard dash.
