Evan Mattern is a 2027 3B/MIF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Bellefonte, PA who attends Bellefonte Area. Lean projectable athletic build. 7.24 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman, works through the baseball with sound footwork and fields it with soft hands. Has solid lateral range with feel for taking routes to the ball. Showed the ability to change slots on the run. Recorded arm strength up to 77 mph across the diamond. Right handed hitter, starts in an upright, slightly open stance with pushed hands. Stays connected well and takes a compact path to the baseball. Works into a lofted stroke with evident heaviness in the barrel. Posted an exit velocity of 87 mph. Excellent student.
