Ethan Baker is a 2028 OF/RHP, 3B, SS, UT with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Sunbury, OH who attends Big Walnut. High waisted, athletic frame with plenty of time and room to fill out. Recorded a 7.58 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with anticipatory footwork into the fielding process. Fields off his front foot properly and maintains some momentum into release. Produced accurate throws with carry up to 77 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from an abbreviated windup with a belt high leg lift into balance. Showed good lower half movements down the slope, generated some extension out in-front. Ran the fastball up to 71 mph in this look, while steadily working in the upper-60s for the majority of his outing. Mixed in developing breaking ball with varying shape and some gradual depth to it. Will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments and arm strength. Took part in the infield portion of the defensive workout, where he showed proper footwork, a clean funnel out in-front and some lateral range to either side. Produced accurate throws up to 72 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from narrow base with a high hand set, high back elbow and small inward stride into launch. Generates some separation, creates extension out in-front and has some present bat speed. Looser, leveraged stroke with solid barrel feel and plenty of things to project on moving forward. Developing, young frame with fundamentally sound skill set and plenty of projection. Excellent Student. Named to the 2023 13U Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
