Matt Roberts is a 2010 C/3B with a 6'1'', 195 lb. frame from Graham, NC who attends Graham HS. Strong athletic build. Wide spread stance, big load to start swing, good bat speed, whips bat through hitting zone, keeps hands pretty short, can handle the barrell, consistent hard contact, drives the ball to the gaps. Good arm strength, quick exchange/release, 1.86 best pop, comfortable receiver. Potential to be an offensive minded catcher with very solid receiving skills. Could get some good draft interest. Good student, verbal to North Carolina.
