Drew Traverso is a 2027 C/1B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Oxford, CT who attends St. Joseph. Strong and physical build. Right handed hitter, sets up in an open stance with a high hand load and a medium stride out into contact, swings hard with rotational swing mechanics and has good speed and heavy hands at contact, juice to the pull side, releases the barrel well, has hitting tools and power to continue to develop. 7.55 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up right knee down, receives the ball cleanly out front, compact arm action, makes soft accurate throws, solid overall fundamentals with developing arm strength/carry. Can see this at first base as well as his bat continues to develop. Excellent student.
