Joe Burton is a 2027 LHP/OF with a 5-8 125 lb. frame from Charleston, WV who attends George Washington. Young athlete with a lean projectable frame and room to add a lot of physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in 8.48 seconds. Primary position LHP, with a controlled, compact operation and has a nice feel for what he's doing on the bump. Inline arm path, getting the hand up on time and competing in the zone. Lower arm angle that plays as it creates some run and sets the stage for a nicely shaped breaking ball. FB up to 65 mph generating a lot of soft contact ground balls. Emerging consistency on the CB but flashes proper shape and will be a pitch long term. Secondary OF, working with two-hands out front but not holding momentum through the play. Some hop to his step and threw accurately up to 65 mph. Good job on reps at 1B as well, can do it here. LHH starting even with turned in front foot, good handset allowing him to get on plane. Flat path to impact with a pull oriented approach. Solid feel for the barrel and looks like a hitter long term. Good two-way athlete who is an excellent student too.
