John Catanio is a 2026 RHP/OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Wall, NJ who attends Wall High School. Larger build with some strength present and plenty of projection remaining. Primary right-handed pitcher, starts his operation with the hands at the belt. Accelerates well down the slope before releasing the baseball from a high three-quarters slot. Gets away from his arm on occasion. Fastball was located well in all four quadrants, ultimately peaking at 81 mph. Mixed in an 11-5 curveball with good depth and tilt to it. Projects for an uptick in velocity with additional strength. Secondary outfielder, works through the baseball at a deliberate pace. Displayed developing athleticism and range in the outfield. Fields the ball with soft hands and separates into a deeper arm path prior to release. Delivered online throws while recording arm strength up to 73 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts in a wider stance with a high hand set-up and high back elbow. Shifts his weight well into impact while working into an uphill bat path. Has plenty of evident strength in the hands. Displayed developing barrel control and consistency. Posted an exit velocity of 81 mph. Ran a 7.23 sixty-yard dash. Great student.
