Ian Peterson is a 2028 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-5 145 lb. frame from Hudson, OH who attends Hudson. Young, compact build. Ran a 7.98 60-yard dash. Left-handed hitter, wide base and slightly open stance with low back elbow and hands out in front of his body, linear path through the zone and creates loft at contact. Impacted to the pull-side consistently showing ability to get extended out front. Primary outfielder, short and choppy steps getting to the ball, glove gets out front early and fields it with one hand off to the side of the frame, medium arm swing in the back to a three-quarters slot. Young arm strength shown, recorded accurate throws up to 68 mph. Secondary left-handed pitcher, stretch only delivery, stomach high leg lift, balances at the top, full arm path in the back, hides it well. Inline arm path to a low three-quarters slot. Fastball got up to 71 mph (1961 RPM) with heavy fading action. Curveball has big shape in the upper-50s (1842 RPM). Also worked out at first base, made all the plays with confidence bouncing off the bag, fed the double play well with solid arm strength. Fundamentally sound, recorded accurate throws up to 69 mph. Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
