Colton Carli is a 2027 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Lockport, IL who attends Providence Catholic. Medium athletic build with some present strength. Ran a 6.97 60-yard dash. On the mound, worked quickly from the stretch with a closed setup and a longer arm action through the back. Loose, whippy arm from a high 3/4 slot with a clean move downhill and some drop-and-drive through release. Fastball was 84-87 mph T87 with some angle to it. Slider was 77 mph with high-tilt shape and depth, and changeup was 71 mph with some feel and depth. Worked in the infield with quick feet and soft hands, funnels the ball well and showed a solid backhand. Clean arm action with plenty of whip from a 3/4 slot, posted 91 mph across the infield and the arm strength stands out, accuracy will continue to tighten up. Right-handed hitter with a spread, open setup and quick hands. Short to contact with a slight uphill path, lifted the ball with intent and hit it hard when squared, showed some strength and handled the barrel well in BP. Excellent student. Named to the PG Chicago Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
