Gavin Zihlman is a 2027 2B/RHP/C with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Tiffin, IA who attends Clear Creek Amana. A medium frame with a compact build. Room to keep filling out and adding strength moving forward. Ran a 7.51 60-yard dash. Primary infielder who moves low to the ground and shows the pocket early. He gets into position well and uses the backhand well during his round, showing the fundamentals. He threw from a lower slot and adjusted as needed. He had good range working laterally during his round of throws. Threw 68 mph across the infield during his round and made the plays well. A right-handed hitter who has a spread base and slightly open feet. He has higher-set hands with the back elbow up in his stance. Zihlman works direct with the hands, staying on it. A pull-driven swing where he wants to attack the ball out in front and pull it into left field. He showed some feel for the weight transfer during his round of swings with a linear path through it. He showed off some good swings working backside during his round of BP swings as well.
