Gavin Speigel is a 2026 RHP/OF, UT with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from McLean, VA who attends The Potomac. Works from a medium compact frame with long limbs and physical upside. Primary right-handed pitcher, utilizes an abbreviated wind-up, works into a compact arm path with a medium stride into foot strike. Fastball showed occasional cut and topped at 77 mph, lived around the strike zone. Mixed in a more traditional curveball with gradual vertical depth, has some feel for spinning it. Will see an uptick in velocity as he continues to refine mechanics and add strength. Secondary outfielder, fields the baseball slightly off to the side and works uphill a bit, creates some separation prior to release. Breaks into a shorter arm path and releases from a higher slot, delivered low and online throws, recorded arm strength up to 78 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts in a wider base with a high back elbow, utilizes a leg lift trigger and slightly downhill bat path, gets around the baseball and a bit rotational at times, produced soft liners to the middle of the field when timed up, recorded an exit velocity of 77 mph. Ran a 7.38 sixty-yard dash. Great student.
