Joey Vance is a 2027 C/OF/RHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Batavia, OH who attends Batavia. Tall and athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. 7.70 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up in a one knee down stance, has good arm strength with on line carry to the bag, hosed a runner in the games, blocked the ball very well and played with high energy, stood out in the games defensively. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium and slightly open stance, wrapped barrel start, gets to his front side early, can improve his timing, has the strength to create bat speed with adjustments. Took a turn on the mound, fastball topped out at 78 mph with some heaviness and sink, also threw a short slider and flashed a change up. Good student.
