Aayden Ayala is a 2028 SS/RHP/C with a 5-5 120 lb. frame from Albany, NY who attends Colonie Central. Ayala works from a young lean build with plenty of room to fill out and add strength as a '28 prospect. He worked from a range of defensive spots over the course of his event, making plays asked of him from both the IF and OF while topping out at 64 and 67 mph. He displayed reliable glove work from the IF with a compact arm action that released from a consistent slot. Expect the arm strength to continue developing as Ayala physically matures. From behind the plate, he showcased controlled actions with further room to gain some ground in the footwork, topping out at 62 mph. Offensively, the righty started from an open stance with a compact hand set and toe tap trigger to produce contact to all parts of the field. Expect additional barrel control to come as strength in the hands develops. Good student.
