Travis Lee is a 2009 C/P with a 6'4'', 210 lb. frame from Griffin, GA who attends Spalding HS. He has a tall, athletic build with good present strength and the chance for more in the future. Lee is a good athlete who moves well for his size and has some quickness. He showed very good arm strength in drills, throwing 78 mph with a best pop time of 1.98. He was 2.08 in game actions. Lee will have to continue to work on his receiving skills but has the tools to be a good catcher at the next level. Offensively, Lee hits from a no stride approach with early hips to start his swing and an upper body rotational swing. Lee showed good late bat speed and hit the ball hard to right centerfield when he got his hands extended. He has obvious power potential and strength and should continue to improve as a hitter. Lee also pitches and was up to 83 mph on his fastball. His pitching mechanics are similar to his hitting mechanics; early hips and a mostly upper body delivery. Lee is also an excellent student.
