Mikael Akpala is a 2025 RHP/OF with a long, lean 6-1 180 lb. frame from Oakland, CA who attends Head Royce HS. Started off the event clocking a 7.28 60-yard dash. A Primary pitcher, secondary outfielder. Utilizes an abbreviated wind-up delivery from the first base side of the rubber with a leg lift just above the belt. Separates the hands at the chin and into a deeper arm path before releasing the baseball from a high 3/4 slot. Has a quick arm and generates plenty of momentum downhill. Fastball showed short arm-side run, ultimately peaking at 82 mph. Projects for more velocity with additional strength. Defensively, he stays light and quick on his feet as he works through the baseball. Showcased impressive adjustability. Delivered accurate throws to the bases while recording arm strength up to 81 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts in an even, upright stance with a high back elbow. Strides into a slightly downhill bat path. Has some present hand speed with the ability to work the entire field. Generates whip to the barrel and occasional backspin to the middle of the field. Named to the Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
