Tristan Prier is a 2029 3B/RHP/1B/OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from North Liberty, IA who attends Clear Creek Amana. High waisted young build with lots of room and time to get stronger. Right handed hitter, sets up in a narrow straight stance, has a short hands driven swing, throws the barrel out, best when he's getting some separation out front and pulling the ball, can continue to develop as a hitter with more strength and more body involvement. 7.90 runner in the sixty. Worked out all over the field on defense. He worked out in the outfield, with a clean gather fielding it out in front, with throws coming out from a three-quarters release. He had a lower flight on his throws and had developing arm strength showing. He threw 78 mph from the outfield and across the infield. On the infield, he fielded the ball out in front with a shorter and compact release, working across the diamond. He had a lower slot with some snatch to the hands and some pace to the footwork. He also threw 76 mph across the diamond from first base with some feel to move about the spot. He had a compact arm action with two-handed glovework around the bag, showing some feel for the feeds to second. He also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher. He had a full wind-up with a sidestep into the leg lift. He had a three-quarters slot with a clean release. Tall-and-fall mechanics overall. Showed more of a slide step and direct move downhill when working out of the stretch. He worked up to 79 mph on the fastball and held the mid- to upper-70s with some life and run to the pitch. He also showed it with a more sinker shape at times, working arm-side. He flashed a slider up to 69 mph with flat lateral shape -- being cuttery at times. He also showed a changeup/splitter that had straight depth to it. Attacked hitters with all three pitches during his outing.
