2026 PG Iowa Indoor Showcase
Holden Loy is a 2029 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Leclaire, IA who attends Assumption. Lean young athletic build, has added strength over the last year with lots more to come. Right handed hitter, sets up in an upright narrow stance with a low hand load and a direct and short swing path, has some lift and launch out front to grow into as he gets stronger, lived on the barrel with good bat speed for his age. 4.94 runner in the forty. Primary shortstop on defense, moves well and has feel for the position, plenty of arm strength when on top, changed slots well on the move, arm really worked well and projects, made accurate throws. Also worked out in the outfield, carried momentum into his throws well and throws had some carry, arm best suited for the infield. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full wind up with belt high leg raise and a whippy 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with some running life. Mid-60's curveball had good shape and some 11/5 depth when he got out front with it. Very good student. Named to the PG Iowa Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
