Ivan Marrero is a 2025 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Monroe, NY who attends Monroe Woodbury. Lean, compact build with plenty of room to add more strength as he continues to physically mature. Primary left-handed pitcher, utilizes a full wind-up delivery with a leg lift up to the midsection. Operates at a deliberate pace, keeping the hands around the chest before separating into an inline arm path. Releases the ball from a firm low three-quarters arm slot. Demonstrated aggressive actions with good drive down the slope prior to foot strike. Fastball was pretty straight with some ride through the zone, ultimately peaking at 77 mph. Changeup showed late fade, ducking a couple of barrels for swings and misses. Pitched to contact with his mix. From the outfield, stayed low to the ground as he worked through the baseball. Transfer was a bit segmented. Displayed developing arm speed and athleticism. Recorded arm strength up to 78 mph. Left-handed hitter, starts in an even, balanced stance with a flat hand set-up. Utilizes a short hover trigger for timing before working into a flatter bat path. Has some present bat speed. Casts the hands at times, creating a longer path to the baseball. Produced contact to the pull-side and middle of the field when timed up. Flashed the ability to create carry and backspin. Posted an exit velocity of 76 mph. Ran a 3.78 thirty-yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
