Logan Cortes is a 2027 C/RHP/3B with a 5-9 210 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Arcadia. Features a medium-sized frame with some strength and sturdiness to the build. Ran a 8.26 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed corner actions. Avg. footspeed but worked through the baseball fairly well. At times taller with posture. Solid glove actions, displaying early and working soft/sure at reception to both sides. Used a shorter arm action that got off 50/50 accurate throws across some being short of the bag with avg, strength. Behind the plate, set up in a side saddle set up. Developing footwork/quickness out the crouch but showed a quick exchange where his arm showed better here getting off accurate throwdowns to the bag. At the plate, sits in an even base and uses a heel raise trigger. A bit of a rotational swing but path is clean getting into the zone early and staying through it well. On-barrel a majority of his round producing hard contact to the pullside. Avg. bat/hand speed for his level. Swing translated in-game to a couple off hard line drive XBHs. Also jumped on the mound and showed a simple operation that worked exclusively from the stretch. Kept his shorter arm action that worked to a normal 3/4 slot. His ;ow 70s FB showed some natural cutting action and he mixed in a developing breaker in the mid 60s. Named to the Top Prospects List.
