Paxton Brown is a 2028 RHP/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Maricopa, AZ who attends Chandler. Features a medium-sized lean build with some present athleticism. Ran a 7.36 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed fundamental actions. Avg. first step and shows a methodical approach to the baseball where he worked with avg. speed/quickness. Fields it clean and out front where he works with into a one-shuffle release. Uses a longer AA that got off uphill throws with quality strength and present accuracy. At the plate, sits in balanced/open stance. Swing works compact and on a slight uphill path. Works connected through with decent bat speed for his level that is still developing. On-barrel a majority of his round and flashed ability to lift and drive the baseball. On the mound, uses a belt high leg lift into a quarter turn. Slightly closed into landing. Higher glove arm that gets up to where he slots out of a 3/4 release which adds some deception. Avg. leg stride with a taller finish. Repeats it well with easy effort. FB worked up to 82 and showed some running action. Mixed in a bigger 11-5 breaker in the mid 60s that had some quality depth. Flashed a developing low 70s CH as well. Worked quick and pounded the strike zone during his outing. Advanced pitcher.
