2025 PG Coastal High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Gary Barton III is a 2028 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Alexandria, VA who attends Gonzaga College. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. 7.64 runner in the sixty. Primary corner infielder on defense, had solid actions at both positions, soft hands with some feel for his footwork, enough arm strength to be playable at third base, good fundamentals at both positions. Switch-hitter at the plate, sets up similar on both sides, spread start, bit more open on the left side, short swings from both sides with pull side line drive contact, hands driven swing, very similar bat speed and contact from both sides. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full delivery with some coil over the rubber, controlled mechanics with a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with some run and sink. Change up and curveball were both solid pitches and thrown for strikes, has some projection on the mound. Excellent student.
