Grayson Sauer is a 2029 SS/RHP, OF, UT with a 5-11 130 lb. frame from Windsor, CO who attends Windsor. Long, slender frame with plenty of time and room to physically mature. Recorded a 8.60 sixty-yard dash time. Primary shortstop with a developing defensive skill set. Works downhill into the fielding process, displayed a clean funnel and produced fairly accurate throws up to 69 mph across the diamond during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a compact delivery with a belt high leg lift and good lower half movements out to foot strike. Developing command of the strike zone, fastball worked in the mid-60s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 68 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Flashed developing breaking ball with consistent shape, all continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments and additional velocity. Took part in the outfield portion of the defensive workout as well, where he displayed deliberate footwork throughout the fielding process. Fields properly off his front foot gathers cleanly and delivered accurate throws up to 67 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, slightly open base with a high hand set, lower back elbow and leg lift trigger. Showed constant feel for the barrel, plenty of present bat speed and some extension out in-front. Simple, repeatable stroke that will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Excellent Student.
