Pitching - Side steps into a belt high knee lift. Showed a slower paced operation. Arm took a medium path out the glove that worked continuous to release to a H 3/4 slot. Finishes a tad open at landing with a smaller stride where he could work on an improved block at finish. Falls toward 1B side of the mound. Filled it up with the fastball and mixed in a slower developing breaker that he dropped his arm slot on. - I would work on moving with some more pace and try to tap into more athleticism in the delivery. Also suggest landing more on-line with a better block and making sure your slot/armspeed is the same on all pitch types. Fielding - OF - Developing actions. Starts tall initially and slowly works down into reception. Didn't take the best angles to the baseball. Stiffer glovework with minimal adjustability. Displaying the glove too early can limit adjustability you might need on slight changes in the hops. Also fielded a couple a bit deep at times. - INF - Heavier footwork that fits more of a corner profile. Fielded every GB clean except for the slow roller. Not the most athletic fielding position at times being too tall with chest almost falling over the GB at reception. Avg. quickness to release caused by a glove tap that slowed things down. Used a shorter arm action that got off accurate throws with avg. strength for his level. -Work on getting into a more athletic fielding position with the chest down and eyes behind the baseball. Eliminate the glove tap to improve quickness to release. Hitting - Stands in a taller and relaxed stance that is open. Loads early and easy with a toe tap gather. Hands get the barrel into a good launch. Clean path through the baseball. Hard time getting the barrel out front but hands stayed inside the baseball well and produced quality LDs to the middle of the field and RC gap. Stays behind it well with balance. -Would suggest an approach or cue change to get the barrel more out front at contact so that he can get extended and tap into more impact.
