Adrian Rivera is a 2029 RHP/1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Whittier, CA who attends Los Altos. Medium, square shouldered frame with some present strength proportioned throughout, athletic. Ran an 8.33 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, full wind up on the mound with a belt high leg lift at top of delivery; shorter arm action through the backside working to a high three-quarters release, upright finish following release. Pitched off of fastball heavily, showed short life through the zone, up to 74 mph and filled the strike zone; mixed a curveball with 11-5 shape, will continue to refine spin profile and bite through the zone. Moves around the first base bag well, accurate throws with developing carry, sound actions on feet and fielding it out front. Right-handed hitter, begins with a medium base and upright stance with a high back elbow in the box. Loads weight onto backside, can continue to shift moving into contact to build momentum in swing. Works on a linear path through the zone, line drive carry to the pull side when on time and squared, occasional lift through the point of contact.
